About the company:

My client is a Tier 2 Main Contractor who specialises across several different utility disciplines such as power, telecoms, and multi utilities. They have been trading since the late 90’s and have generated a reputation that has made them one of the preferred contractors within the utility industry. They currently operate at a turnover of £80M per annum which is expected to grow over the coming years.

About the role

Due to workload increasing they are actively looking for a Site Supervisor to join them on a full time basis. Your day to day duties will involve overseeing day-to-day operations of the tarmac gangs to ensure the smooth running of tarmacking and resurfacing.

You will be Supervising several different schemes in the London area, making sure all projects are fully resourced, making sure health and safety on site are faultless, and making sure works are delivered to client specifications and client’s standards.

About the Benefits and rewards

You will be rewarded with a salary ranging from £30,000 – £40,000. The contractor you will be working for has a brilliant reputation within the industry so you will be surrounded by a great standard of work.

About the requirements 

It’s essential you have a strong understanding of Section 58, Section 74, Section 81, and Defects. You also need expert knowledge of tarmac surfacing, backfilling and reinstatement, white top, and blacktop.

  • CITB or equivalent in site safety management (SSSTS)
  • CSCS Card for the appropriate level of responsibility/competency
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a project supervisor position
  • Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, Project, and Office Outlook.
  • Experience self-delivering tarmac projects for a UK-based contractor.
