About the opportunity:

My client is a multi-disciplined, cash rich, well known sub-contractor who are currently turning over £60M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (waste water and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent and on the south coast (this role will be site based on a long-term project in the South East).

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand they are also keen to maintain their family feel atmosphere where it’s a fun working environment and everyone is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company.

About the opportunity

Due the company expanding and winning a long-term framework in the South East they are now looking for a Site Manager to support the project manager. The projects that you will be involved in will be on a Southern Water framework which will involve mains replacements, private water network installation, M&E works and sewer connections.

The successful candidate will need to construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified time frame with correctly allocated resources.  You’re going to need to optimise outputs and reduce the need for overtime working to allow all colleagues to keep a good working pattern throughout the week. If you’re selected you would also be involved in reading, understanding and explaining drawing specifications. It’s important to note that you’ll also need to ensure safety compliances and promote safe working practices. As the potential new Site Supervisor, you will be in charge of monitoring construction activity on site and make sure that they meet up to the quality standards put in place.

The Company make personal development, career progression and long-term stability a priority. The successful candidate will be working for a company who they encourage internal promotion and want to see employees progress through the company.
