About the company:

Our client is one of the UK’s leading civil engineering/utilities contractors based in the UK. Operating in the ICP and Private Network Markets on numerous projects for large blue-collar developers and commercial clients. Currently turning over £30 million per annum, this firm has established itself within the London and Southeast region as one of the best in the sector. This business specialises in designing and building power / electric projects (132kv), along with working in multi-utilities, gas, and water for part residential development schemes. They have also been involved in wind / solar farm projects across the country to provide clean and renewable energy to the UK. Over the years, this firm has worked with MACE, Sir Robert McAlpine, and several councils in the local areas of their projects.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be working on multiple Utility projects for large commercial buildings in central London. You will be reporting to the Project Manager on the progress of each project, ensuring that they are all completed on time and within budget. You would also be involved in reading, understanding, and explaining drawing specifications. It’s important to note that you’ll also need to ensure safety compliances and promote safe working practices. As the potential new Site Manager, you will be in charge of monitoring construction activity on site and making sure that they meet up to the quality standards put in place.

Requirements:

You must have experience working as a Site Manager for a utility contractor based in the UK, on top of this you will need to have experience working on utility projects in Central London.
