Our privately owned client is a leading name within the civil engineering and demolition industry that prides themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. They are based just outside of London and as a group, successfully complete projects as a principal contractor and as a subcontractor throughout the UK which have values in excess of £15M. Their core areas of expertise include asbestos removal, soft stripping, enabling works and structural alterations and as a group, they turnover in excess of £90M.

About the role:

Due to healthy order books and continued company growth, I have been asked to recruit a Demolition Site Manager to work directly for the above contractor. Working as a site manager you will be joining the companies’ demolition management team and will be responsible for the day to day management of a site, ensuring work is carried out in accordance and time with the programme whilst also making sure standards are maintained, including health & safety.

About the requirements:

To be considered for this position, individuals must have the following:

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CSCS
  • CCDO Gold Supervisor or Black Managers Card
  • Proven success of running large complex demolition projects

In addition to the above, it is essential that individuals have a strong background in demolition and this experience must have been gained whilst working at site management level for a subcontractor in the UK. Additionally, as this is a permanent position, I am looking for an individual who can demonstrate stability of employment throughout their career, holding each previous post for a minimum of 3 years in addition to holding a full UK driving license due to the remit of work.

About the benefits & rewards:

For this permanent position, I am looking to speak to individuals who are targeting anywhere from £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, however there may be flexibility on this as specific salaries will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer (either a fully expensed company van or travel allowance) in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
