They operate in the private and public sector, covering new build and refurbishment contracts, undertaking projects in the Education, Health, Industrial, leisure and retail markets. Working on buildings varying from hospitals, educational buildings, churches to leisure facilities and prime private residences, and their enviable track record is based on expertise, experience, and a responsive environment.

Repeat business is important to the company, as well as successfully tendering. They work throughout the Home Counties from their Oxfordshire HQ.  Recent projects include a local emergency services hub, private leisure facility, and private school build.


About the role:

Our client has an immediate Site Management role. The Site Manager will be required to be fully autonomous, leading site as no 1 reporting into a Contracts Manager. The initial project will be a £4.5m build in Oxford. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Direct and manage a team of Site Engineers, Foreman
  • Direct Trades & Sub contractors
  • Oversee site Health & Safety
  • Oversee daily site administration
  • Make management decisions pertaining to project issues with minimal supervision throughout the project
  • Short terms planning of construction
  • Client liaison as required
  • Awareness of budgets and schedules
  • On-going efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and troubleshoot problem areas

Beyond the initial project, you will be responsible for new build and refurbishment projects between £2m and £7m within the private, commercial and local authority sectors across Greater London.


About the benefits and rewards:

Salary will be in the region of £45,000 – £55,000 + package (travel & pension)


About the requirements:

  • SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid
  • Long-term permanent employment history (main contracting)
  • Proven history of running build and refurbishment contracts £2-7m
  • Additional Construction qualifications/Memberships preferred (NVQ’s, BSc, CIOB)
