Site Manager – Bespoke Joinery

About the Client

Our Client is a Bespoke Joinery Contractor specialising in Design and Installation covering various sectors of industry including High End Residential Commercial, Theatres and Government Buildings. With nearly 30 years’ experience this company have established a very strong name within the field working for Tier 1 Main Contractors and Private Clients, which has resulted in an annual turnover of £6m. Projects are primarily within the High End market and this company would suit someone that has experience working on prestigious projects.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day operational duties.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, and have the ability to troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Managing sub-contractors and direct trades.
  • The ability to make management decisions, pertaining to your specific project issues, with minimum supervision.
  • Short term programming and planning of construction.
  • Demonstration of a strong commercial awareness, and an acute awareness of budgets and schedules.
  • Oversee daily site administration.
  • Client liaison, as required.
  • ·Attending site and project meetings, as required.
  • To fully support, facilitate at all levels and comply with the legal Health & Safety requirements. Assist in the training and development of site management and site operatives.
  • To bear any other reasonable responsibilities and undertake any other reasonable duties: – as the board (where there is a board of Directors) may from time to time agree – or as may become necessary to meet the operating needs and requirements of the business in order to maintain agreed levels of service.

Requirements:

Must come from a Joinery background and experience in the High End Market

  • Current, appropriate CSCS card, relative to the position.
  • Appropriate SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with our clients.
  • Ability to work to programmes and deadlines, and be flexible to adapt to change.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Experienced in managing direct and sub-contract labour.
  • Sound technical building knowledge.
  • Must be computer literate in most Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project. Good communication skills and presentable appearance.

Salary:

  • An annual salary of £45K-£50K, which will be dependent on experience.
