The Role

Are you a lead no1 Site Manager with Timber Frame residential build experience? Our client is looking for a no1 independent Site Manager, that can work fully autonomously as site lead, reporting into a Senior Management. You will be responsible for either 12 Timber Frame houses in SE London, or a new build, concrete frame development of five flats, a pub and commercial space on E1. You will be expected to take this out of the ground all the way through to finishes. Therefore, the Site Manager must be used to running projects from start to end.

You will be expected to undertake all duties from directing sub-contractors, trades, site administration and planning, client interaction, material management, progress reporting. Beyond this the client is looking for a Manager that wants to develop, takes pride in their work and has the ability to foresee issues and make decisions.

Beyond the initial project you will be responsible for new build and refurbishment projects between £1m and £5m within the private, commercial and local authority sectors.

The Client:

Our client is a main building contractor who undertakes new build, refurbishment and design and build contracts priding itself on its client focus. They have an excellent reputation, in part, through the innovative hands-on approach of the company’s directors. They undertake work for a wide range of public sector and commercial clients. Recent projects include a residential extension and basement in North London (£2.5m), 3 x new build townhouses in Hertfordshire and multiple school refurbishments throughout South East London.

Salary/ Benefits

Salary will be in the region of £45,000 – £55,000

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have a background in Site Management and be able to manage build and refurbishment contracts between £1-5m. SMSTS, First Aid & CSCS required.
