About the company 

My client is a multi-disciplined, cash-rich, well known sub-contractor who is currently turning over £75M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (wastewater and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent, and on the south coast (this role will be based in Sussex)

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain their family feel and atmosphere, where it’s a fun working environment and everyone, is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company.

About the opportunity

My client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their water team permanently. The contract that you will be involved in will be working on an NEC contract within the water sector. On top of that, you will be working for a team with years full of experience within the utility sector. It makes it a great team to learn from and a team that will really help you develop, the company has a great reputation for delivering projects to a high standard, so you can be sure to be gaining experience in the right way.

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Commercial and playing a vital role in the business, managing and leading the commercial team as well as being client-facing. Your role will involve client managing, sub-contract management, change management, and valuations.

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £65,000–£75,000 + a £5000 car allowance.

About the requirements:

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying.

You will need to have worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a UK-based utility contractor (Ideally water).
