Our client is a responsible developer of new homes and communities.  They are also specialists in regeneration and design and build contracting. Their vision is to generate attractive returns by creating outstanding places for people to live, work and enjoy. These are exciting times for the business having the flexibility to adapt to changing housing trends they have an interesting mix of high-rise RC frame London projects and large traditional projects in the Home Counties. With a huge pipeline of work having recently secured a major JV contract with a county council this is the chance to join an extremely stable and profitable business.

About the opportunity:

My client currently has an opportunity to join their existing Commercial team as Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is a new position given successful tendering and an opportunity to run projects from conception.

A key role within the growth and long-term stability of the company, you will be expected to commercially manage a variety of schemes across the London, Home Counties with locations such as Watford, Newham, Harrow & Hemel Hempstead up to 200 units. You will also take a lead role working collaboratively with the Managing QS and Head of Buying as well as managing an Assistant level Surveyor as and when required.

With the projected project pipeline and company growth strived for by the owner this is a role that will ‘keep you on your toes’ and will be very rewarding. Having already secured long-term working relationships with HA and looking to build new ones, this is a business model that provides security during uncertain economic times.

About the benefits and rewards:

A basic salary of up to £80k per annum plus car allowance and company benefits. You will also benefit from moving to a brand-new purpose-built office with various amenities on site.

About the requirements:

You must have proven track record of commercially managing new build residential schemes up to 100 units either working with a larger PLC house builder or local developer. A history of delivering a variety of new build houses and apartments for local authorities would be preferable. You must have some prior experience of managing a team and be willing to be fairly hands-on with projects at the same time.
