About the company

My client is a national tier one main contractor within Civil Engineering who are currently operating at a turnover of £300M. They have been involved in some shrewd acquisitions and have brought on other Civil Engineering contractors to bolster their industry knowledge and presence within Rail & Civil Engineering. They are multi-disciplined and specialise within several different sectors such as; rail, infrastructure, environmental and energy. This client focus on their staff and standard of project delivery and because of there standard of work they have become a preferred supplier for clients such as Network Rail, London Underground and London Overground.

About the opportunity 

The successful professional will be responsible for managing costs across multiple projects, ensuring each is profitable for the Company. You will be involved with the reviewing, evaluation and delivery of payments as well as developing client relationships. The types of projects you will be involved will range from large infrastructure projects to platform extensions and platform improvement works.

You will undertake general surveying of projects as required, which will include reviewing and pricing variations and preparing valuations for the respective Project Manager and Commercial Director.

Requirements

You’ll be required to have experience working as a senior quantity surveyor for a sub-contractor on the London underground (ideally tier 1 or tier 2 company)

It’s important that you’ve shown strong stability throughout your career working for tier 2 companies with at least 10 years’ experience working in the sector.
