About the opportunity:

Our client is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London based Head Office and lead the Quantity Surveying team in providing their key clients with early cost advice on Build projects, cost planning, value engineering, contract documentation and post contract services.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, the opportunity will entail close client liaison, mentoring of junior members of the team and essentially working collaboratively with the wider operational and commercial teams in providing the client with a professional service right from project inception through to project completion, including pre-construction and post-construction phases.

Established over 40 years ago, this Consultancy is operated as a traditional Partnership providing Cost Management, Project Management and Employer’s Agent services within the Commercial, Residential and Retail sectors.

The company’s London Head Office is particularly busy with providing fast paced Quantity Surveying services to their clients in The City and West End and are thus expanding their Cost Managing and Quantity Surveying team to accommodate demanding requirements.


About the requirements:

Our client is keen to bring on a Senior Quantity Surveyor with sound cost management experience, as well as knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating, cost planning techniques, construction methods and materials. You will be able to demonstrate working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering.

Knowledge of contract strategies is essential, as is recent experience of post-contract cost management tasks.

The professional will have clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written, with financial, numeracy management and ICT skills in order to perform their day to day tasks effectively and efficiently.
