About the Company: Our client is a fast growing, slick and unique construction organisation who has started to make waves across industry. The company is formed from a number ex-directors from one of the biggest construction firms in the UK, and has carried their top tier contractor mentality into this business currently turning over £30m. This top tier experience along with a lean team and solid financial backing gives this business and edge when bidding projects, and the flexibility to move and change with the times, something that in this economic climate a lot of companies are struggling to do. They work predominantly as a Principle Contractor, but can also offer a range of services alongside their core business including offering pre-construction and construction management contracts as opposed to Design & Build, JV Partner agreements or working as a Built Environment Consultant. Our client works with developers, investors, contractors, product manufacturers and specialist consultants across a range of residential, regeneration, education and commercial projects, to provide a complete construction service.

About the Role: Our client are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to work as number 1 on a £80m RC Frame Residential Project in Central London. The successful candidate will be comfortable working as number 1 Project Manager on project of a similar value to this. They will be required to execute the designated projects, to the agreed programme, with the highest regards to health, safety, environmental and quality standards expected by the client and company, and the financial performance budgeted by the company.

They will be fully accountable to for the delivery of the project in relation to: Health and Safety, Program, Quality, Cost, Satisfaction of Client and fully accountable to company policies and procedures.


Key Tasks and Activities Include: 


  • To establish and maintain the best relationship with the client, through and beyond construction, to satisfactory completion, and to deliver improved value to the client and company.
  • To effectively establish and manage the health and safety plan, the environmental plan, and the project management plan.
  • To effectively establish and manage the target Design Procurement and Construction Program.
    To manage the design with the assistance of the Design Manager and to interrogate the design for alternative methods of work, alternative materials and improvements to ‘build ability’.
  • To manage the procurement with the assistance of the Project Quantity Surveyor.
  • To manage the work on site with the assistance of the Site Manager or the Engineer in Charge.


About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependant on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £85,000 – £100,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.


Requirements: Candidates must have extensive industry experience, directly relating to large scale residential projects upwards of £50m, and must be commercially focused. They must be easily able to manage motivate their team. They must show the technical and contractual knowledge to identify risks and opportunities with client and subcontractors and have the ability to programme the works and identify key interfaces, risks and opportunities in the construction process
