About the company:

My client is a multi-disciplined, well-known sub-contractor who is currently turning over £90M per annum with projections of turning over £100M in the next year. They specialise primarily within the water (wastewater and clean water) and infrastructure/non-infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent, and on the south coast (this role will be based in their North London office). The company has some of the best staff in the industry working for them, they are very well respected across the utility industry and they’re financially very secure and in a stable position. While the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain its family feel atmosphere, where it’s a fun working environment and everyone, is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company. They are a relationship-based contractor and pride themselves on the quality of the work that they produce. This has led them to have repeat business with Thames Water, holding certain frameworks for over 30 years. On top of this, they have long-standing relationships with Affinity Water, Southern Water, and South East Water and have recently started working with Anglian Water.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager and will be appointed as Temporary Works Coordinator, responsible for managing the requesting, reviewing and installation of temporary work designs for London and home counties. You will be monitoring the quality of the installation construction works as well as preparing, maintaining and collating final documentation for each project for the company’s records and / or submission to the clients. Production and maintenance of Inspection Test Plans will be required, as well as quality control of Temporary Works installation and required modifications including production of design registers and required permits.

Requirements:

You will need to have a degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and is a necessity that you have experience in working for a UK-based Civil Engineering Contractor. Ideally, I will need someone with 5 + years of experience working for a tier 1 or tier 2 company, as we all as experience working at a Senior Engineer level.
