About the opportunity:

Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Land Manager to join their team. With the need for leadership, this is an opportunity to be part of the senior team, leading this residential developer in the as it carves a greater network of projects in their south easterly portfolio.  Some of your duties will be as follows:

  • Using proven track record in land acquisition to seek out new land opportunities whilst monitoring the local market using saturation survey’s and key areas of research.
  • Ensure use of knowledge of land Agents and legal processes to seek out new land opportunities to maximise Persimmons effectiveness in the market
  • Utilise ability to work with in-house/external Architects, Engineers and Surveyors to maximise layouts on profitability of schemes.
  • Employ proven track record in land acquisition coupled with self-motivation, good organisational and communication skills to strengthen the existing team.
  • Use of excellent negotiation skills, project management, financial reporting and land exercise appraisal to help achieve team deadlines and targets.
  • Maintain ability to operate in a demanding environment whilst managing workload to achieve team and personal objectives to deadlines and targets.
  • All employees have responsibility to ensure their practice adheres with both legislation and the fairness at work policy.

 About the company:

My client have been established for around 20 years with a focus on developing quality housing across the South East. With a wealth of construction experience in the board of directors leading the company, my client have tripled their turnover in the last few years, gained good profits and a strong amount of company assets.

This venture will see them further develop Northern Home Counties, and Southern Midlands catchment area for land acquisition and development. About the benefits and rewards:

You will be the first appointment in the new commercial team and as such can expect a salary of up to £80,000 plus a package and bonus. My client is keen to progress you on in your career and would like to promote you to Head of Land in time.

About the requirements:

  • Must have experience in either a Land Management or a Senior Land Management role
  • Experience of working within a large developer would be ideal
  • Affiliation and understanding of the local region (Northern Home Counties, Southern Mids)
