About the opportunity:

Due to continued company expansion, our client is recruiting permanently for a Senior Geotechnical Technician. You will be responsible for managing junior staff who will be conducting testing, risk assessments, contaminated land desk studies, site investigation planning, execution and reporting, remediation planning and verification reporting and waste consultancy.

General duties will include by not be limited to the following:

  • Responsibility for all technical drilling services
  • Managing ground investigations
  • Preparing quotations
  • Scheduling / programming works
  • Preparation of technical reports including borehole logging to BS5930, piling risk assessments and environmental bank appraisal reports
  • Implementing and managing the quality procedures and safety procedures for geotechnical drilling services
  • Carrying out phased contaminated land investigations including devising remediation strategies for the purpose of discharging contaminated land conditions

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £40,000 – £50,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will possess a level 2 NVQ in Drilling or a relevant geotechnical qualification. Furthermore, you will have a good understanding of BS5930, geological mapping and geotechnical ground investigation works. Due to site locations, you will need to hold a full UK driving license in addition to a SMSTS and CSCS card.
