Along with highway infrastructure, environmental projects, and commercial construction. With several in-house capabilities, ranging from design and delivery to commercial management.

About the opportunity

My client was selected as a tier-one contractor for Thames Water AMP7 working specifically within the M4 corridor. They have 3 years left on their framework which is worth £160M, the schemes will be infrastructure, mechanical and electrical (within clean water & Wastewater) and they will be ranging in value from £3M – £10M. As well as working on a great variety of schemes you will also have a great leadership team on top of you, a leadership team with a great amount of experience within Civil Engineering, working for some brilliant companies within the UK Civil Engineering industry, allowing you to learn from some of the best.

You will be to cooperate with, report to, and implement the reasonable directives of the Site Agent or the Project Manager (depending on personal experience/ability). Large-scale tasks will be shared amongst team members and reported to the site-based Manger. The Sub Agent will take responsibility for the smaller projects and report directly to a visiting manager operating within a motivated team to maintain high team morale to ensure maximum input to the project. Implement the quality planning control for the various life projects, ensuring the projects comply with the company policies for Quality, Safety, and Environmental issues. The role includes managing the site set out, along with the regime generally undertaken by the Site Engineers, and taking recordings of the complete work/site activities such as build records, diaries, and allocation sheets. Candidates will need to maintain and develop client relationships to ensure an optimum outcome regarding the completion of work, allowing future opportunities for secured work. The company will provide training to undertake planning for temporary work planning preparations in with accordance company procedures.

About the requirements:

Candidates require having high-level education, preferably Degree level (HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification) in either Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.

To be considered for this option, candidates must be experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor. Having experience in water infrastructure, and utilities is essential to be considered for this role. Your work history needs to be stable; ideally working at previous companies for 3 years or more.
