About the company

My client is a tier 2 main contractor who work predominantly in London and the South East, specialising in the rail industry. They are a multi-disciplined contractor with works ranging from track renewal and maintenance, planned and reactive maintenance, platform extensions, structures and depots infrastructure as well as facility management and Civil Engineering services within a rail environment.

The company are currently turning over £75M with a target turnover of £85m by the end of 2020. The company ethos is extremely friendly and very teamwork orientated, they have plenty of social events and they work very closely with each other with continued support from Project Manager and directors.

About the role

Despite the impact COVID-19 has had on several contractors my client continues to blossom and secure new work within London and the surrounding areas, due to this incline in work they are now looking for a senior engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will need to co-ordinate the site engineering control activities to satisfy contract programme requirements and delegating as well as getting involved on site and setting out. The project you will be on will be a London Underground project involving 300M of track work monitoring. This opportunity has superb potential to help the correct professional to improve as an engineer and enhance their long-term career.

  • Civil Engineering Qualification – Degree level or equivalent.
  • A Basic Track awareness (LUL) is essential
  • Setting out experience.
  • Background working on rail and track work projects is an essential requirement
  • Ideally, I will need someone with 5 + years’ experience working for one tier 1 or tier 2 company within rail.
