About the Opportunity:

Due to ongoing growth, I am currently recruiting for a recruitment consultant to join the Civil Engineering division in our head office in Rickmansworth. This desk has brilliant potential to keep on growing, you will be initially covering sectors such as rail, highways, and utilities but you can also branch out into other parts of Civil Engineering, the potential is that big.

We currently have 4 people working on the Civil Engineering desk and between us, we build just shy of £800,000. On top of this, my team had a very impressive record of 0 rebates last you, which shows the quality of the process we have and the quality of clients we deal with. Due to the stability and brand of our team, this will make your job easier as there are so many existing relationships with clients and candidates you can get involved with.

This is a brilliant opportunity to make you a better recruitment consultant and see your progress throughout the business (something I have experienced first-hand). The long-term opportunities involve one day progressing into a divisional lead and heading up a sector. You will be working closely with me as well as having a strong and close relationship with both directors who will also be overseeing and helping your development. The successful recruiter will be involved in candidate generation across our database, job boards, Linkedin, advertising, and referrals. You will also be involved in business development, strengthening existing client relationships, and building brand-new relationships. You will also be involved in meeting clients for beers or coffee, taking them out for lunch, or having detailed meetings with them about long-term strategy.

This opportunity has the potential to see the right individual progress into a Senior Consultant and continue to progress beyond that into a Divisional Manager and beyond.

About the Benefits and Rewards:

There is no glass ceiling with this opportunity, there’s a brilliant opportunity to progress and become a Divisional Manager and a Senior Manager. We base salaries on the experience and abilities of each professional but offer beyond the typical level in the industry. You can expect a basic salary from £20,000 to £40,000 and on target earnings of a minimum of £40,000 to £65,000 in the first year alone. In addition to basic salary and commission up to 25% and no threshold. We offer generous quarterly bonuses, quarterly target-based office events, and regular team social events which could be abroad or in the UK and we have a great laugh across the office.

About the Requirements:

Successful applicants will need to be team players, hardworking, confident, motivated, hungry for success, and have great communication skills. The most important trait I am looking for in someone is somebody determined to better themselves, someone, who is looking to make a career for themselves. With regard to experience, I am open to several different options. I am open to someone who has 3 years minimum experience working in Construction or Civil Engineering recruitment (360 role), even better if you’ve worked in either rail, utilities, or highways (perm recruitment).
