About the Opportunity:

Due to ongoing growth, I am currently recruiting for a recruitment consultant to join the Civil Engineering division in our head office in Rickmansworth. This desk has brilliant potential to keep on growing, you will be initially covering sectors such as rail, highways, and utilities but you can also branch out into other parts of Civil Engineering, the potential is that big.

We currently have 4 people working on the Civil Engineering desk and between us, we have over 30 years of experience working in Construction and Civil Engineering recruitment and the desk itself is currently turning over £700,000 + per year. Due to the stability and brand of our team, this will make your job easier as there are so many existing relationships with clients and candidates you can get involved with.

This is a brilliant opportunity to make you a better recruitment consultant and see you progress throughout the business (something I have experienced first-hand). You will be working closely with me as well as having a strong and close relationship with both directors who will also be overseeing and helping your development. The successful recruiter will be involved in candidate generation across our database, job boards, Linkedin, advertising, and referrals. You will also be involved in business development, strengthening existing client relationships, and building brand news relationships. You will also have to set up a face to face meetings with both candidates and clients to build relationships further.

This opportunity has the potential to see the right individual progress into a Senior Consultant and continue to progress beyond that.

About the Benefits and Rewards:

Remuneration will be extremely generous. We base salaries on the experience and abilities of each professional but offer beyond the typical level in the industry. You can expect a basic salary from £20,000 to £35,000 and on target earnings of a minimum of £40,000 to £65,000 in the first year alone. In addition to basic salary and commission with no threshold, we offer generous quarterly bonuses, quarterly target-based office events, regular team social events, ongoing perks through Perkbox, and smaller benefits such as a drinks fridge on Fridays.

About the Requirements:

Successful applications will need to be a team player, hardworking, confident, motivated, hungry for success, and have great communication skills. With regards to experience, I am open to several different options. I am open to someone who has 2 years minimum experience working in Construction or Civil Engineering recruitment (360 role), even better if you’ve worked in either rail, utilities, or highways (freelance, perm, or trades & labour).

I am also open to looking at someone who has spent the past 1 or 2 years as a resourcer and looking to make a step up into a 360 recruiters’ role. Finally, I am also open to looking at someone with at least a year working on direct sales and is interested in getting into recruitment.
