About the opportunity:

Our client is actively seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor Team Leader to join their Guildford office and promote the Consultancy Partnership as a sector leader whilst providing guidance to all technical Partners and employees in the QS function.

Your key objectives will be to manage the QS team, promote the QS discipline and coordinate multi-discipline project activities with the Partners of the business. On a technical level, you will be responsible for the preparation of cost estimates and cost plans, providing advice to clients relating to procurement, recommending Contractors to tender and undertaking financial checks. You will be responsible for the preparation of Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Work and Employers Requirements documentation as part of the usual QS remit.


About the requirements:

This is a highly accountable position ideal for a professional who has 8+ years’ experience working in a QS capacity, either within a Consultancy setting or Contractor. You will have experience in managing your own client portfolio, as well as managing a team, and working at both pre and post contract stages, which will enable you to undertake all necessary Quantity Surveying tasks.

You will be computer literate with excellent MS Excel skill, which will efficiently enhance your technical and commercial capabilities. Preferably, you will be a qualified MRICS although, qualification by experience will also be considered favourably.
