About the opportunity:

Due to the growth in business, our client is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their aspiring and dynamic team based in the Hertfordshire area, to manage a portfolio of diverse and exciting development projects primarily within the fast-paced Retail sectors.

The position is to provide a leading role working alongside the Client in the overall project delivery, providing support and managing the professional and construction team through all stages of the site acquisition process, the town planning applications, preparation of tender documents and contractor procurement and administration and commercial management of the building contracts.  Some projects will involve interfaces with the respective developer or tenant third parties and administration of development agreements.


About the benefits and rewards:

The company offers excellent benefits and rewards, including a salary in the region of £45,000 – £55,000 + package, dependant on level and sector knowledge. The company also provides continual professional development, including structured support towards Chartership.


About the requirements:

The role requires professionals with experience of a varied private commercial workload, and have strong knowledge of construction and contract administration in addition to robust cost consultancy and reporting skills.  You must have the initiative to manage your own work, to take ownership of project deliverables and deadlines and the determination to drive forward your own projects through to successful completion.

The ideal professional will have a proactive response to your work and display a professional approach at all times, demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and high levels of commitment.
