A well-established privately-owned residential main contractor, our client has pursued a carefully planned strategic growth to arrive at their current position as a widely recognised and highly successful constructor of social housing throughout London and the South East. They are the Strategic Partner of a variety of Housing Associations both based in the Home Counties and the London region.

Our client is a specialist HA contractor who has had solid and uncompromised success over the last 4 years and is looking to continue this growth and development by adding to an already thriving team. They currently have a turnover of circa £40 million and have a 2-year growth plan to double this, it boasts roughly 30 members of staff with projects typically covering the South East London and Greater London boroughs.

About the opportunity:

My client is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in new build residential housing and apartments. As part of this opportunity, you will be expected to be able to run projects through from early pre-construction stages to final handover managing in the main commercial as well as some technical and project management elements of the job.

Well-rounded experience in commercial, technical and project delivery is key with a diverse construction background delivering traditional build, RC Frame and timber frame projects. You will be expected to pick up and run with between 1 – 3 jobs (up to 50 units) dependant on your experience level. You will be working alongside an experienced commercial team of circa 4 surveyors with an impressive track record of delivering projects on time, to spec and on budget.

This opportunity has the potential to evolve rapidly and will allow you the chance to grow with the company as they secure more work within the public sector. With unpredictable economic times ahead, particularly for the private housing sector, my client have the benefit of being in a very secure position delivering government-funded affordable housing, which shows no signs of slowing down.

About the benefits and rewards:

A basic salary of up to £60k per annum plus bonus and company benefits. Smaller business with a family feel where staff are rewarded for loyalty and hard work. Personable Managing Director who you will be working with closely on a day-to-day basis.

About the requirements:

Must have experience in managing projects from inception to completion and have delivered new build housing schemes, whether private or affordable.
