The Company

Our client is an independent, privately owned, multi-disciplinary construction company. The business is owned and managed by its founding shareholders and has achieved a steady controlled and profitable growth since their inception enjoys a very healthy trading position with a strong future order book with regular repeat business from commercial clients specializing in the Industrial market.

Founded back in 2016 our client has been growing steadily over the past 6 years and has already increased to a turnover of £30 million. Despite their relatively young age, we bring decades of experience in the construction sector to the projects they work on. Their senior team has a long and distinguished history in construction, having overseen multi-million-pound contracts and a wide range of projects, including new-build and refurbishment.

About the role:

Due to the company’s success and the amount of new work that is already in the pipeline, there is a need for a Quantity Surveyor to run one of their forthcoming larger projects.

This project will be valued between £3 million and £10 million in the Industrial Shed sector. The successful candidate will be based in the company’s head office in Braintree and visit the respective sites when needed. Due to this, the successful candidate will benefit from day-to-day hands-on guidance and support from the Commercial Manager.

Your role will include management of the project in its entirety, profit and loss reporting, reporting into the accounts division, and full responsibility for all procurement and risk management. You will be responsible for maintaining established profit margins and improving the company’s profits wherever possible.

In addition to the basic salary, there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health, and travel allowance.  As well as long-term career prospects and progression, you will also work closely with the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director who can offer support should you need it.

About the requirements:

The successful candidate needs to have extensive experience in managing industrial projects, with values from £3m to £10m. The ideal candidate should also have a balance of working on new build, and refurbishment projects.
