Quantity Surveyor

£40,000 – £55,000 + full package

About the company

My client is a well established, well respected, privately owned Highways & Civil Engineering contractor with a UK presence. They currently operate at a turnover of £50M and this has built up over 50 years of trading. During those 50 years they have delivered work to a superb standard, because of this they have become a trust partner with Highways England and many local authorities across the UK. The types of works they cover as a company range from earthworks, drainage, foundations, S278 works, street lighting, multi utilities and fibre optic.

About the opportunity

This is a superb, diverse, and exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing contractor on highways, street lighting, groundworks, and civil engineering projects. It sounds like a nice spread of sectors doesn’t it? Despite working within a mixture of sectors you will predominately be working on NEC contracts as well as occasionally working on JCT contracts. You will have the opportunity to work on major highways schemes as well as local authority projects.

About the requirements

I am looking for someone who has got 5 years of experience working within the Civil Engineering industry (exposure to NEC Contracts is vital). On top of experience, I am looking for someone with good job stability (2 years per company at least). With regards to education, I am looking for someone who’s degree qualified, a Quantity Surveying related degree is preferred.

Benefits and rewards

Are you still reading this? If so, the successful individual will be rewarded with a brilliant basic wage ranging from £40,000 – £55,000 (this of course depends on experience) On top of a great basic salary you will also be rewarded with a full package. We all love lots of money but we both know it’s not just about the money is it? My client pride themselves on personal development and they want the successful individual to follow them on their journey of growth which will lead to promotions. You will be working closely with an MQS and a Commercial Director whom both have a great Civil Engineering background, working for well-respected contractors.
