Quantity Surveyor (Healthcare)

About the Role:

Our client has released an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work as part of their refurbishment and fit out team undertaking specialist healthcare projects. You will work alongside the delivery team will provide commercial management throughout the full life cycle of the build including the execution of commercial, financial and contractual matters to secure top level financial and legally compliant performance.

  • Sub-contract tendering and procurement
  • Payment of subcontractors, variation orders and the settlement of final accounts.
  • Monitoring and explaining cost movements.
  • Analyse returned tender and recommend the most commercially viable contractor.
  • Monitor subcontractor cost movements.
  • Undertake monthly cost reports
  • Report on savings and excesses against budget
  • Forecasting of final accounts.

This a fast paced environment whereby you will be managing multiple, fast track and short programme projects.

This contractor focuses predominantly on high quality refurbishment, structural and fit our contracts typically within the London and M25 region. They operate in a diverse market carrying out works for private clients as well as frameworks. The portfolio includes healthcare, residential, leisure commercial and the education sectors.

  • Experience in working as Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor or Sub Contractor
  • BSc degree or HNC in a construction preferred
  • Hold a Driving license (Project visits required)
