My client is a tier one main contractor who work worldwide, they’re a leading name within infrastructure, utilities and rail turning over £1B. The company are 3 years into their 10-year growth plan, they are looking to turnover £2B by 2025, it’s very exciting times for the company. They specialise within rail, water, gas, power, highways and construction. Due to their high profile within Civil Engineering and their high standard of work this has led to a very healthy pipe line of work for 2019. Working on contracts such as HS2 and Thames Water.

About the opportunity

This opportunity will be working within my clients successful and ever-growing energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs across multiple projects, ensuring each is profitable. The projects that you will be involved in will be working on NEC contracts within their energy division with all the works being high volume, low cost work.

The role itself gives you a great opportunity to grow and progress throughout the company whilst it allows you to take good responsibility with the work that you are producing (i.e. you won’t be micro managed).

You will be rewarded with a very competitive salary ranging from £45,000–£65,000 + company car/car allowance.

About the requirements:

You are required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial management or Quantity Surveying.

To be considered for this position, you should have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within Civil Engineering for a Tier 1 contractor Your work history should be stable; ideally you should have worked at your previous companies for a number of years.

The role is a permanent position. No freelancers can be considered.

A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
