£45,000 – £55,000 + package

Snodland, Kent

About the company

My client is a specialist Civil Engineering and MEICA design and delivery contractor who has experienced strong growth and stability in the past few years. They currently operate at a turnover of £20M and have 4 years guaranteed work which is likely to be extended afterwards. They have a strong leadership team in place that has several years of experience working for well-established Civil Engineering and utility contractors. My client is looking at continuing their growth sensibly and strategically.

About the opportunity

Because of continued growth, my client is now looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has had a good introduction to working within the Civil Engineering industry. You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager as well as Liaising with operational teams across MEICA Projects, pre, post, and during construction. Collating data and presenting it to the internal team. You will create and maintain commercial reporting, using the NEC3 suite of contracts (predominately Options A and C) for weekly maintenance of the project environment, including cost planning, procurement documentation, and reporting, EWN’s/ CE’s and supply chain payment notices. This will be a hands-on position that involves plenty of contract administration, supply chain negotiating, and preparation and submission of final accounts.

About the requirements

I am looking for someone who is used to working in a fast-paced environment as a Quantity Surveyor in a UK-based utility contractor. You will also need to be degree qualified in either a Quantity Surveying degree or a Civil Engineering degree. It’s essential you have experience working on NEC 3 main and sub-contract forms of contract. Finally, I am looking for someone who has 3-5 years of experience working as a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor for a Civil Engineering contractor.

Benefits & Rewards

This is a brilliant opportunity to develop your experience as Quantity Surveyor, working in pre-contract and post contract. On top of this, you will be rewarded with a great salary ranging from £45,000 – £55,000 + package.
