Typical projects our client works on are valued between £2 million and £8 million, however, they have work in the pipeline valued between £12 million and £15 million.

About the role:

Due to the company’s success and the amount of new work that is already in the pipeline, there is a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to run one of their forthcoming larger projects in either Braintree or Colchester.

This project will be valued between £5 million and £15 million in either the residential or healthcare sector. The successful candidate will be based in the company’s head office in Ipswich and visit the respective sites when needed. Due to this, the successful candidate will benefit from day-to-day hands-on guidance and support from the Commercial Manager.

Your role will include management of the project in its entirety, profit and loss reporting, reporting into the accounts division, full responsibility for all procurement and risk management. You will be responsible for maintaining established profit margins and improving wherever possible the company’s profits.

In addition to the basic salary, there will be benefits including car allowance, pension, health and travel allowance.  As well as long-term career prospects and progression, you will also work closely with the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director who can offer support should you need it.

About the requirements:

The successful candidate needs to have extensive experience in managing a range of projects ideally including residential, commercial, and healthcare, with projects ranging in value from £5m to £15m. The ideal candidate should also have a balance of working on new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects.

My client is looking for candidates who can show stability of employment throughout their career keeping each appointment for a minimum of 3 years per employer.
