About the company:

My client specialises in high-quality civil engineering projects, highways & roads, soft & hard landscaping, and external works, turning over £50M per annum. They are known for their company-wide expertise, and knowledge and have built respected partnerships with their clients. Having collaborated with some of the UK’s outstanding architects, they can accommodate all projects in and around London, ranging from small-scale developments to improvements on multi-million-pound projects. They have worked on some huge projects such as Battersea Power Station, Tate Modern, and the Emirates Stadium. They work with Main Contractors such as Lendlease, Multiplex, and Bam.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be involved in highway maintenance and highway infrastructure, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. This opportunity has come about due to ongoing growth & a large pipeline of projects being won. The project value will range but it will be around £1M – £15M per scheme. The types of projects you will work on will involve hard & soft landscaping, groundworks, roads, highways, and foundations. You will be developing relationships with clients, analysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data as well as producing a ‘Schedule of Rates’, and managing sub-contractors.

Requirements:

You’ll be required to have a good standard of education preferably to a Foundation Degree level (HND or HNC) in Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying (or hold an equivalent qualification). Stability is a necessity, with at least 3-4 years of experience working under a UK-based Civil Engineering Contractor. A UK driver’s license is essential as you will be traveling to various sites throughout the week.
