My client is a tier two contractor turning over £100m per annum, who is a large supplier that provides civil engineering services to almost two thirds of the country. Projects are covered in Suffolk, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent, Hampshire and Oxfordshire. For over 50 years, core operations have included projects on highway and bridge construction, providing a range of infrastructure improvement services for the railway network, as well as river and marine services. About the opportunity

Due to ongoing frameworks and a pipeline of projects continuing to grow they are now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a lot of client faced meetings as well as ensuring each project is profitable for the company. The projects you will be working on will range from major highways maintenance, highways infrastructure, bridge infrastructure, deep drainage and s278 works.

About the requirements:

You’ll be required to have a good standard of education preferably to a Foundation Degree level (HND or HNC) in Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying (or hold an equivalent qualification). Stability is a necessity, with at least 3-4 years of experience working under a UK-based Civil Engineering Contractor. UK driver’s license is essential as you will be traveling to various sites throughout the week.
