About the opportunity:

This is a very exciting opportunity to join the new Midlands division of this business based in Birmingham which is the youngest major metropolis in Europe where there is energy and excitement about the future of this gleaming city! Birmingham is undergoing massive regeneration on a scale that London experienced many years ago.

This developer currently has five developments planned for it’s new region, investing a total of £500m in the construction of 2,800 apartments. It’s first major development begun on site with initial groundwork’s and piling completed in May 2019 due completion in 2021. The development will comprise 371 apartments and 2 seven and thirteen storey blocks.

They have successfully received planning permission for a further two sites. One will begin immediately and includes a £165m urban regeneration scheme comprising over 100 two and three bedroom townhouses and 650 one and two bedroom apartments.

As a Project Surveyor you will assist the Commercial team in managing all commercial activities and working closely with the design and construction team to monitor build costs against the programme, completion dates and overall construction budget. Specifically you will be working on an existing development in Birmingham comprising 379 residential units with a build value of £60m.

About the benefits and rewards:

In general, salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries will be set at a mutually agreeable level with set parameters to increase in line with performance. In this instance, the company are looking to pay up to £50,000 basic salary with a competitive benefits package.

About the requirements:

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar you must have previous experience working in the Residential sector with either a Main Contractor or Residential Developer preferably on Mixed Use Residential schemes.
