My Client is a family run company based in North West London turning over £100M. they specialise in Infrastructures, such as highways, rail, and water. They also work within RC frames, groundworks and they also main contract on new build projects. My client prides themselves on the long-term stability of their staff due to the average employer working for them for over 15 years. This is because of the great atmosphere within the company and the really good family feel they have within the business. My client has been established for over 35 years and they keep growing and expanding year upon year, this is due to the great reputation they have in the market which has led to them getting continuous repeat business with clients such as Morgan Sindall, Volkerfitzpatrick, and Hochtief.

About the opportunity 

This is a superb, diverse, and exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing contractor on the rail, heavy civil engineering, and infrastructure projects. It sounds like a nice spread of sectors doesn’t it? Despite working within a mixture of sectors you will predominately be working on NEC contracts as well as occasionally working on JCT contracts. You will be working with some of the most respected Main Contractors within the industry, the project values will range from £1M – £30M. The types of works you will work on will range from RC works, groundworks, shafts, and piling. The sectors will be rail, highways, and bridges. As well as having ongoing, continuous and thorough support from the Commercial Manager and Project Manager you will also be looking after a small team of Quantity Surveyors and Assistants, helping them grow, develop and improve. You will be working on one major project as well as looking after 2/3 other smaller projects.

About the requirements 

To be considered for this role I’m looking for someone who’s worked on heavy Civil Engineering projects as a Project Quantity Surveyor specialist sub-contractor or Tier 2 contractor, based in the UK. Ideally, you would have had exposure to RC works, groundworks, earthworks, drainage, and piling. With regards to education, I’m looking for someone who is degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying degree or Civil Engineering degree. Finally, I need I’m looking for someone with good stability on their CV, ideally around 3 years per company.

On top of this, you will be rewarded will a great salary ranging from £50,000 – £70,000 (depended on experience) + a package on top.
