About the opportunity
The job-holder will be based at the office in Wimbledon but will need to visit sites, mostly located in South West London postcodes but also in adjacent Home Counties. With the support of an assistant, you will be managing all costs relating to the projects.

The purpose of this role will be to maximise the gross margin on the company’s building contracts by obtaining the best prices for sub-contracts, accurately assessing costs during the delivery of the contract, and justifying and claiming all contractual payments due to the company by the client.

Your other duties will include but will not be limited to:
• Attending pre start, specification and any other relevant concept meeting as required;
• Monitoring and explaining cost movements;
• Taking specifications and drawings from construction handover and preparing suitable packages for tender;
• Monthly cost reporting and estimating future likely cost expenditure;
• Reporting on savings and excesses against budget costs to the Managing Surveyor/Commercial Director.

About the requirements:
Our client require a talented and motivated individual to share their passion for delivering first class projects. Experience working for a small to medium sized developer is essential and you should be able to work with the team from design stage to assist with developing budgets. The vacancy would suit a Project Quantity Surveyor with experience running projects with values of £1-15 million. Ideally, the individual will have solid practical surveying experience working on multi-unit schemes comprising of residential and commercial elements.
