Are you a Project Manager with water infrastructure experience?

About the company

My client is a multi-disciplined, cash-rich, well-known sub-contractor who is currently turning over £75M per annum. They specialise primarily within the water (wastewater and clean water) and infrastructure areas of civil engineering, with offices in North London, Kent, and on the south coast (this role will be based in their North London office).

This position has come about due to continued and strategic ongoing growth but while the business is looking to expand, they are also keen to maintain their family feel atmosphere, where it’s a fun working environment and everyone, is treated as a name, not a number, with the respect from the directors across the company. This is a contractor I enjoy recruiting for. Over the last 4 and a half years I have placed 3 of their senior managers and all of them are still there and enjoying it.

About the role

Due to a large pipeline, long-term pipeline of work, my client is looking for a Project Manager to join the company. You will be working on water infrastructure projects in North London/North West London. The projects will involve main laying, trunk mains leakage, Pumping station construction and commissioning, pipeline rehabilitation, and pressure management schemes. This will be a hands-on, technically challenging position. Your role will involve technical and buildability review of Temporary Works Designs, monitoring the activities and performance of the project, producing the programme as well as developing and maintaining relationships with relevant client representatives, supply chain, and local authorities. You will be working in a really good team, a team with a great technical understating of the utility industry, meaning you will be learning and developing your skillset in the long term.

About the benefits & Rewards

My client is one of the best utilities & Civil Engineering Contractors in the southeast, they have a low staff turnover and a great relationship with several key water clients such as Thames Water, Southern Water, Affinity Water, and South East Water, which means you will be offered long term stability. On top of this, you will be rewarded with a salary ranging between £55,000 – £65,000 + package on top.

About the requirements

You will need to have Project Management experience working on water infrastructure projects for a UK-based, self-delivering utility contractor. On top of this, I am looking for someone technically capable so a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred as well as having good stability throughout your CV.
