About the company 

Our client is one of the UK’s leading civil engineering/utilities contractors based in London & operating in the ICP and Private Network Markets. Currently turning over £10 million per annum, this firm has established itself within the London and Southeast region as one of the best in the sector. This business specialises in designing and building power / electric projects (132kv), along with working in multi-utilities, gas, and water for part residential development schemes. They have also been involved in wind / solar farm projects across the country to provide clean and renewable energy to the UK. Over the years, this firm has worked with MACE, Sir Robert McAlpine, and several councils in the local areas of their projects.

About the Opportunity

In this exciting Project Manager role, you will have an opportunity to work within an experienced management team who have brought in due to their reputation within the utilities contractor’s division across the UK. You will have an opportunity to work with and learn from the best in the industry which would be highly beneficial to your development.

The successful candidate will be closely working with the site delivery team, managing resources and supply chain subcontractors onsite. The successful candidate will be responsible to produce RAMS, self-delivery works, and ensuring that QA procedures are implemented and monitored. You’ll ensure that all labor, plant, materials, and supply chain resources are accurately recorded and that Inspection & Test Plans are produced and implemented correctly.

You’ll focus on implementations of document control, reconciliations for bulk material supply, and ensure that the latest drawings are being used. Along with liaising with the Site Team and Commercial Team to identify any additional works and ensure that Temporary Works Co-ordinator maintains the TW register.

Requirements 

The successful candidate needs to be a proactive leader, with effective and reliable problem solving and communication abilities and good attention to detail. It is important to have a good level of education, whether that’s an NVQ Level 6, a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management, or an HNC/NVQ Level 3. Along with being commercially aware with good organisational skills and having a proven track record in successfully managing utility-based projects.
