About the Opportunity

We have been asked to find specialist groundwork and concrete frame Project Managers capable of delivering packages ranging in value from £1 million up to £5 million each.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate your team to exceed goals whilst keeping to budget and to programme. The successful professional will receive the necessary support and guidance from the senior management team. You will also be given the autonomy and responsibility to achieve results using your own management style and methods of leading site teams.

This specialist contractor carries out a variety of complex packages with technical challenges to overcome. You will work closely with the contracts manager to deliver these residential and commercial packages to the highest standards.

About the benefits and rewards

For this exciting opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £60,000 to £80,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to standard benefits associated with a successful company (bonus scheme, pension, laptop, phone etc.).

About the Requirements

Construction professionals will need be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong career history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years. Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks, basement construction and concrete frame construction, whilst working on both residential and commercial projects.

Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, temporary works and client meetings).

It is crucial that the individual can show a strong amount of concrete frame and groundwork construction background having worked for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK. You will ideally have experience of working in London and the South East. Candidates from a main contract or different subcontract background cannot be considered.

In terms of software, our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Powerproject for planning / programming works is preferred. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.
