About the Company: Our client is a fast growing, slick and unique construction organisation who has started to make waves across industry. The company is formed from a number ex-directors from one of the biggest construction firms in the UK, and has carried their top tier contractor mentality into this business currently turning over £30m. This top tier experience along with a lean team and solid financial backing gives this business and edge when bidding projects, and the flexibility to move and change with the times, something that in this economic climate a lot of companies are struggling to do. They work predominantly as a Principle Contractor, but can also offer a range of services alongside their core business including offering pre-construction and construction management contracts as opposed to Design & Build, JV Partner agreements or working as a Built Environment Consultant. Our client works with developers, investors, contractors, product manufacturers and specialist consultants across a range of residential, regeneration, education and commercial projects, to provide a complete construction service.

With all of this in the arsenal, cash in the bank and new projects looming in and around London and the South East, this exciting young business are looking to grow exponentially across the different teams from pre-construction to commercial to delivery. About the Role: Our client is currently looking for a slick Project Manager with an excellent construction background and strong IT skills to work across several projects in London, Stevenage and Birmingham. These residential projects are currently in pre-construction stage, with my client being employed as a Development Manager. The role will be predominantly office based (office in Piccadilly) to begin with, with occasional trips to site once the projects are underway.  They will be fully accountable to for the management of the client’s interest on site, overseeing the contractor delivering the work along with responsibility for design, programme and financials. All reporting will be done via the Fuse system, which is similar in its working to Conject & 4 Projects.

About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £75,000 – £95,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.

Requirements: Candidates must have extensive industry experience, directly relating to residential projects, and must be commercially focused. They must be easily able to manage motivate their team. They must show the contractual knowledge to identify risks and opportunities with client and subcontractors and have the ability to programme the works and identify key interfaces, risks and opportunities in the construction process.

IT skills are a must in this role, with all reporting completed for Fuse, and all programming done on Asta. A stable career history is essential and a Construction Management degree preferable.
