About the opportunity:

Due to company expansion, our client is recruiting permanently for a Scheme Project Manager to join their Rail division. This opportunity is to work on the framework contract for structures work (refurbishment and reconstruction of underbridges, overbridges, footbridges and structure infills) on the South of the London North Western rail route, which covers Crewe to London.

As a Scheme Project Manager, you will be based from their office in Birmingham (along with hybrid working) and will manage low to medium value projects from inception through to completion and support the senior managers in delivering multi million pound complex multidisciplinary projects.

The main duties / responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage the team through design, development and delivery with effective project management
  • Drive the programme
  • Maximise commercial performance of projects to achieve and exceed business plan
  • Lead by example to embed high HSQE standards in project teams
  • Ensure engineering compliance and strive for engineering excellence
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent opportunity, my client is looking to target professionals who are looking to earn anywhere from £53,000 to £58,000 per annum, however, specific salary will depend on experience and suitability.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a recognised engineering qualification and have vast experience of working within the infrastructure industry (rail experience is preferable although professionals with experience in highways infrastructure will also be considered). You must be able to demonstrate stability of employment, hold a PTS, a full UK driving license and client relationship management experience.
