About the company 

My client is a multi-disciplined tier 2 contractor who specialise in highways maintenance, highways infrastructure, traffic management, rail, and the environmental sector. The company is huge on the long-term stability and career progression of their team. This is helped by the repeat business they get in Surrey, Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire which is a result of their high standard of work. They get a lot of repeat business with main contractors such as Kier & Balfour Beatty. It is also helped by the close bond from the management team all the way down to the engineers.

About the role

Due to the company continuing to expand they are looking for a Project Manager to look after a Highways Infrastructure project. Responsibilities will include, the delivery of the project which will include highways, earthworks, and groundworks. You will be ensuring compliance with their procedures to deliver world-class health, safety, environmental, and wellbeing performance. You will be involved in providing leading customer service and satisfaction, delivering operational objectives to support the client in meeting their performance commitments, and achieving high levels of compliance with the client. The successful candidate will also be involved in Pre-Construction on other projects.

The successful candidate is in charge of reducing the number of complaints, and ensure projects are delivered on time, and seek to continuously improve operational performance.

About the requirements 

It is essential that you have experience working in the highways industry for a UK-based contractor, operating as a Project Manager. The successful candidate will need to be a hands-on individual who doesn’t mind getting involved in several different roles.
