My client is a Tier 2 Main Contractor turning over £50M and specialising within Multi Utilities and Power. They operate in Ireland but have a large presence in London. Company culture is important isn’t it? My client also agrees. They are a tight-knit team with a very low staff turnover, this is due to recognition of hard work and performance from the owners and a great working environment. Company values are also extremely important, they believe in respect, teamwork, excellence and integrity as well as a few others. My client has been trading for 20 years and are currently going through the busiest period the companies ever had. Despite going through such a busy patch, they are not staying stagnant. They are planning on opening up some new divisions in the future including an infrastructure division.

About the role

Due to the company continuing to expand they are looking for a Project Manager to look after electric and multi utility projects within London. Responsibilities will include, the delivery of projects, ensuring compliance with their procedures to deliver world class health, safety, environment and wellbeing performance. You will be involved in providing leading customer service and satisfaction, delivering operational objectives to support the client in meeting their performance commitments. The successful candidates will also be involved in supporting the maximisation of cash collection & margin whilst maintaining an excellent relationship with the client through collaboration.

The successful candidate is in charge of reducing the number of complaints, improve street works performance, ensure projects are delivered on time and seek to continuously improve operational performance.

The relevant projects will all be within power & multi utility projects with commercial clients.

About the requirements

You will not be considered for this position unless you have worked for a specialist utility contractor within the UK. Ideally working on power or multi utility projects.

NRSWA is an essential qualification for this position.

Institute of Leadership & Management Level 5 or equivalent

Formal project management qualification

Proficient in MSProject or equivalent

NEBOSH National Certificate (General or Construction)
