Project Manager – Dry Lining/Suspended Ceiling

Our client are currently seeking a Project Manager, with drywall experience, in the commercial interiors sector. Based in London, and established for twenty years and have a respected reputation with blue chip clients, in the internal fit-out sector, with a combined group turnover approaching £40m.

Our client are engaged as dry-lining & suspended ceiling fit-out contractors on commercial projects including, commercial offices; Government buildings; entertainment; high end residential; and retail. The value of projects is typically £1m-£10m, with their works also being located primarily in London and the south & south east of the UK.

The successful candidate will primarily be site based, at one of our projects in Central London. The role would suit an experienced candidate (10-15 yrs), within the fit out industry.


·Managing day-to-day operational duties.

·Develop and deliver progress reports, and have the ability to troubleshoot problem areas.

·Managing sub-contractors and direct trades.

·The ability to make management decisions, pertaining to your specific project issues, with minimum supervision.

·Short term programming and planning of construction.

·Demonstration of a strong commercial awareness, and an acute awareness of budgets and schedules.

·Oversee daily site administration.

·Client liaison, as required.

·Assisting the project manager in the smooth running of the project.

·Attending site and project meetings, as required.

·To fully support, facilitate at all levels and comply with the legal Health & Safety requirements. Assist in the training and development of site management and site operatives.

·To bear any other reasonable responsibilities and undertake any other reasonable duties: – as the board (where there is a board of Directors) may from time to time agree – or as may become necessary to meet the operating needs and requirements of the business in order to maintain agreed levels of service.


·Current, appropriate CSCS card, relative to the position.

·Appropriate SMSTS/SSSTS qualifications.

·Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with our clients.

·Ability to work to programmes and deadlines, and be flexible to adapt to change.

·Ability to read and understand drawings.

·Fit-out experience essential, including dry lining, partitioning and suspended ceilings, in the residential sector.

·Experienced in managing direct and sub-contract labour.

·Sound technical building knowledge.

·Must be computer literate in most Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project. Good communication skills and presentable appearance.


·An annual salary of £50K-£65K, which will be dependent on experience.

·All reasonable travel expenses from home, to place of work.
