About the Opportunity

We have been asked to find Project Managers capable of delivering specialist concrete frame and groundwork packages ranging in value from £5 million up to £15 million each. This particular project has an initial value of £8 Million for a well-respected residential developer.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate your team to exceed goals whilst keeping to budget and to programme. The successful professional will receive the necessary support and guidance from the senior management team. You will have the opportunity to deliver this project with a level of autonomy and the responsibility to achieve results using your own management style and methods of guiding the various on-site teams.

This specialist contractor carries out a variety of complex packages with technical challenges to overcome. You will work closely with the contracts manager to deliver residential and commercial packages to the highest standards of quality utilising the best in health & safety practices.

About the Requirements

In this position, suitable construction professionals will need be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a stable career history from a site engineer level through to management spanning the last 5-10 years. Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks and reinforced sub and superstructure construction, whilst working on both residential and commercial schemes.

Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, quality, temporary works and undertaking client meetings).

It is crucial that the successful professional can show a strong background in the concrete frame and groundwork sector having worked for rival specialist RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK. You will ideally have experience of working in London and the South East. Candidates from a main contract or other subcontract background cannot be considered for this opportunity.

Our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and utilises Asta Powerproject for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all of these tools in order to complete these schemes to the highest level of quality, on plan and in budget.

About the benefits and rewards

For this exciting opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £70,000 to £90,000 per annum however specific salary will be defined upon level of experience and suitability. There will also be a generous package offered that could include travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to the standard benefits associated with a progressive business (bonus scheme, pension, laptop, phone etc.).
