About the company:

My client is a specialist Water & Civil Engineering contractor turning over £20M per annum. They are, however, part of a larger group turning over £90M +. This collaboration ensures clients are receiving excellent service as they’re able to innovate on the latest technologies and methods in the industry. They focus on design; engineering & construction and they have built up a brilliant reputation with Southeast Water. The work involves the civil and mechanical design, construction, refurbishment, and commissioning of water treatment works and pumping stations across Southeast Water’s supply area, serving parts of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be supporting the increasing programme of works, acting as the key day client interface. You will be ensuring that the client objectives, specifications, and requirements are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets. You will be managing their clean water storage Reservoir Inspection & Maintenance works from site set up to hand over, whilst ensuring that appropriate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met. You will be responsible for ordering plant and materials, developing and maintaining relationships with relevant client representatives, and will be held accountable for all projects from inception to completion. You must have technical knowledge and experience of construction techniques and best practices and can work as part of a team as well as using your initiative, as you will need to focus on supporting and implementing continuous improvement.

You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a project delivery role within the water industry, and knowledge of the use of Regulation 31 products & materials (although direct experience is not necessary). Experience is needed within minor civils works & reservoir maintenance works including Concrete Repairs, Waterproofing, Pipework & Water Fittings Installations etcYou will need a full UK driver’s license as you will be visiting multiple sites, NEBOSH or IOSH and EUSR National Water Hygiene qualifications, NEC contracts knowledge and experience, and the ability to use Microsoft Word/Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
