About the company:

Our privately-owned client is a specialist demolition and waste management contractor who undertakes technical projects throughout Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey and London. Having been established for over 25 years and with a group annual turnover in excess of £45M, this client prides themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver projects within budget and to program, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality.

About the opportunity:

Working exclusively, I have been asked to recruit a Project Manager on a permanent basis who has proven experience of delivering demolition and enabling works packages valued up to £20M in the South East.

As a Project Manager, you will join the company’s existing management team, reporting directly to Operations Manager and will be responsible for the onsite management of a project, ensuring it is managed within time and budget. You will have direct responsibility of all site staff, ensuring they are motivated and able to complete the task at hand. As a Project Manager you will have a clear understanding of the value of the contract and its duration, have a clear understanding of the client, project expectations, and requirements and also you’ll play a key role within their senior management team.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £60,000 – £80,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability.

Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes private medical insurance, company vehicle, phone, laptop, pension and 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

Lastly, you’ll be put through relevant training and refresher courses and progression plans with be discussed and put in place so you have a streamlined development plan for the future.

About the requirements:

Suitable professionals will ideally be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years. This experience should have been gained whilst working for a reputable demolition contractor who undertake technical projects throughout London the surrounding home counties.

Unfortunately, for this opportunity, only professionals who hold a solid background in Demolition / General Enabling Works can be considered and you must hold a CCDO Black Managers card along with a CSCS Black card.

Regarding software, this client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Power Project for planning / programming works. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.
