About the Role:

Our client is seeking an operational lead within the organization to hold the role of Project Director. This role will entail leading project delivery & operations across the business. This is typically between 3-6 project

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Directs activities in Construction and Project Management Sections for complex building projects to ensure profitable outcomes on time and to the specified quality.
  • Recruits, hire and train personnel as required to perform functions.
  • Develops methods and procedures to ensure efficient running of the department.
  • Liaison and communication with other company departments (Commercial, Design & Procurement)
  • Enhances  relationships with existing clients and develops new client relationships
  • Attending board meetings, present progress reports to the board

You will be responsible for the efficient operation of construction delivering the project costs efficiently to time, quality and safety constraints. Candidates will be responsible for overseeing Project Management, Health & Safety, Quality Control, Commercial aspects of the projects and Technical involvement. The position will involve working closely together with the Operations Director and Commercial Director. The position would suit an experienced candidate with extensive industry knowledge or a candidate with some quality industry experience looking to create a firm footing within the industry. The role will be office based in Hertfordshire with frequent site visits.

Package:

The base package is circa £75,000 – £80,000 and the company’s main ambition is to bring an individual into the organisation with the ability to grow and become a valued member of the team. There will also be a generous benefits package in addition the basic salary including include car allowance or Company car, annual profit related Bonus, Pension and Life assurance.

Requirements:

Candidates will have prior experience in Senior Delivery & Operational positions, or perhaps be stepping up from a Contracts Manager position. Candidates will be from a traditional contracting background having worked for reputable main contractors or construction management or consultancy. Degree in construction and CIOB chartership is highly advantageous.
