Our client is a successful, innovative and expanding consultancy who provides geo-environmental and waste management expertise to clients nationally, in both the public and private sectors. With regional offices throughout the UK, this specialist consultancy offers a wide range of professional services primarily related to development of land for residential, commercial, industrial, waste management and infrastructure purposes for various main contractors, remediation contractors and local government institutions.

About the opportunity:

Due to ongoing company expansion, this client is currently recruiting permanently for a Principal / Associate Geotechnical Engineer with excellent technical and project management (commercial acumen) skills to support the growth of their brownfield operations. Supporting the Brownfield Land Technical Manager, as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, your role will incorporate a mix of office and site based work (70/30 split) and you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of a team of geo-environmental scientists to provide integrated environmental, geotechnical and waste management solutions to clients.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere between £60,000 – £65,000 per annum however specific remuneration will depend on experience and suitability. There will also be a generous package offered – fully funded commercial vehicle, Pension, Healthcare, Bonus in addition to other benefits associated with a large successful consultancy.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must hold at least 15 years post graduate experience and hold a degree in Geotechnical / Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering. Ideally, you will be chartered or working towards this, hold excellent reporting and communication skills and hold proven technical knowledge to geotechnical works including pile design, retaining wall design, deep excavations, earthworks and deep basements.
