About the company 

My client is part of an established, privately owned group, turning over £155M, and has been trading for 30 + years. They are financially stable and own 3 offices in London and own all of their plant. The part of the group I am recruiting for has been trading for 10 years and is currently turning over £20M. They specialise within Civil Engineering & Infrastructure and subcontract for well-established contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Hochtief, and Morgan Sindall, they also work as a principal contractor for the AWE. They strive for continued growth and quality; they look to grow up to a £50M contractor over the next 5 years. They have a brilliant and experienced management team in place, a management team who have all been with the company for 10+ years. The types of works they cover involve RC structures, earthworks, groundworks, paving, demolition, landscaping, and drainage. The projects they work on a range in value from £2M – £15M.

About the opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity for a technically minded Project Manager or Contracts Manager to move into a fully-fledged Pre-Construction Manager role. The successful candidate will be working on bids for government-funded Civil Engineering & Infrastructure projects, the packages will on average range in value from £2M – £15M. You will be working closely with the Head of Estimating and the Commercial Director and your role will involve managing all aspects of the operational tender inputs between program, technical, BIM, methodology, and resources to ensure one coordinated message. You will manage the tender program requirements, incl. capability to produce tender programmes and also manage programmers.

About the requirements 

I am looking for a hungry, professional, motivated, and engineering-minded individual who has a strong operational background and looking for the opportunity to move into a Pre-Construction Manager role. You must have experience working for a subcontractor on either infrastructure, RC frames, or groundworks projects – based in the UK. In terms of qualifications, I will need someone who is degree qualified in either Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
