About the company:

My client is a specialist Water and Civil Engineering contractor turning over £50M per annum and is now connected with 2 larger groups turning over £90M – £100M per company, per annum. This collaboration ensures clients are receiving excellent service as they’re able to innovate on the latest technologies and methods in the industry. Together, both companies specialise in many parts of Civil Engineering which are predominately water & utilities, such as clean & wastewater infrastructure, non-infrastructure, recalling, multi utilities, and reactive maintenance. They have secured a long-term contract for Southern Water’s sewage network, covering Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Managing Director on managing the Company’s Plant and Transport function, where you will be ensuring that appropriate, well-maintained plant and transport is provided to their contracts for the least long-term cost and delivered to the required programme. All activities are to be carried out to the highest practicable safety standards as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with internal customers. You will need to maintain the plant yard in an appropriate condition regarding health and safety and environmental issues, ensure internal invoicing is up to date and deal with all requests from Operations promptly, efficiently, and courteously. There will be some flexible home working available.

Requirements:

It is essential that you have 5 years demonstratable experience in a similar role within a UK Civil Engineering contractor. A Certificate of Professional Competence CILT Level 3 and a working knowledge of GB Domestic Rules are required, along with being competent in MD Word, Excel, and Outlook. You will need a full UK driving license as you will be required to travel to sites when not working from home.
