About the Company:

Our privately owned client, who is based in North London and has been established for over 25 years, is a multi-disciplined subcontractor that prides themselves on their excellent reputation to deliver commercial and residential projects within budget and to programme, whilst always maintaining high standards and quality. As a group, they currently turnover £120M and have the capability of working as both a principal and sub-contractor for their blue chip clients.

Our client recruits only the best people, who are motivated, dedicated and can work with a professional outlook. Having worked closely with this client for many years and having met several Directors, I would highly recommend them as they offer an excellent working environment where they encourage professionals to grow, develop and enhance their career. Furthermore, with a close management team, the business has the ability to offer a real family feel, assuring that you will be a name rather than just a number within the organisation.

About the opportunity:

Due to ongoing, successful expansion, our client is recruiting permanently for a well-established Planner who will be tasked with managing the planning process across a range of technical mix-use, commercial and residential projects in / around Central London with values in excess of £20M. The successful professional must have experience in Fitout, M&E and general construction elements.

As a Planner, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Management and Contracts Management team in producing, overseeing and monitoring contracts and construction programmes. Furthermore, you will support the Project Manager in briefings to proactively focus on design (temporary and permanent), procurement, labour, plant and staff in order to secure programme dates and milestones.

Requirements / Responsibilities:

In order to be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must be competent in Asta

Power Project (or similar planning software) and have a well-developed ability to communicate technical issues clearly. As a Planner, you have the ability to read, absorb and visualise information from drawings and text and convert this into a robust vision for construction.

As this is a permanent opportunity, my client is looking for a Planner who can demonstrate stability throughout their career, holding each previous appointment for a minimum of 2 years and experience of working for a busy and fast moving subcontractor or main contractor in London.

About the package:

If successful, you will receive a strong basic salary estimated at £65,000 to £80,000 per annum (based on level of experience) with a package to match. This is negotiable above for very senior professionals.
