About the Company: Our client is a well-established building contractor who continues to grow comfortably and autonomously. They cover the Northern Home Counties down through London across Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, and Education projects which can be anything from maintenance and repair through to multi-million-pound developments. A large amount of their work comes from frame a handful of frameworks on which this business is very active, offering a steady stream of guaranteed work right through the year. About the Role: They are currently looking to recruit for an Office Manager who will be responsible for supporting company operations by organising and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. You will also handle a wide range of administration and executive support independently with little or no supervision.

 

Ideally, they are looking for an Office Manager who is charismatic, highly organised, structured and has solid sales administration experience. You’ll be working in a fast paced environment so the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with the duties thrown at you will be essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • General office management duties (dealing with service contracts / accounts, booking in jobs)
  • Management of payment using SAGE 50
  • Taking and making calls to tenants, clients, subcontractors and on site colleagues.
  • Receiving client requests and preparing work orders.
  • Help with organising company and client events
  • Ad-hoc duties when required

 

About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on level of exposure to industry and experience in related roles. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £30,000 – £40,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel and healthcare.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting a busy a team (ideally 2 years +)
  • Experience in construction environments (previous company)
  • Confidence to take control of the running of the office straight away
  • A degree is beneficial but not required
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook & Sage
  • Ability to multi task and work within given timescales
  • Great attention to detail and highly organised
  • Confident communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Pro-active and able to work under own initiative
  • Candidate MUST be reliable
